A Beatles song dating back to at least 40 years has finally been completed, and the finished product can now be heard on the Web.
The incredible saga surrounding this song began before 1968 when Hunter Davies, a Beatles biography writer, asked to receive a sample of each band member's handwriting.
For George Harrison's sample, he was given a piece of paper found on the floor at Abbey Road Studios that revealed details about the home of Brian Epstein, manager for the Fab Four, and also ten written lines with the title Silence (Is Its Own Reply).
The piece of paper then became a topic of discussion during the author's interview on BBC Radio Merseyside with host Spencer Leigh. According to them, these few lines of the song reflected the difficult relationship Harrison and John Lennon had at the time.
The host then asked if Harrison completed his song material to the end.
Dean Johnson, one of the most renowned songwriters in Liverpool, actually offered to finish the song, with the consent of those who oversee George Harrison's estate.
