Alexisonfire try to drag two fans down under

Hogtown's Dine Alone Records - home to such quotable notables as Alexisonfire, Moneen, Arkells, Attack In Black and Bedouin Soundclash, to name a few - are again this year, in combination with Tourism Australia and Goway Travel, offering something pretty freakin' fine to fans of the heavier end of the musical spectrum: the chance to win two tickets to see Alexisonfire (http://dinealonerecords.com/artists/view/10) at Australia's SoundWave Festival in February, 2010.

SoundWave, now in its third year of existence, caters to bands of the metal, hardcore, punk and alternative rock persuasions. Apparently they still have alt-rock in Australia. Though it originated in Perth, the fest now happens concurrently on six stages across the continent and plays host to some 50-odd international artists in addition to the homegrown variety (www.soundwavefestival.com).

In addition to the envy and admiration of friends and foes alike, the winner will receive the following:

- Two round-trip tickets on Qantas Airways from Vancouver to Australia.

- Two tickets to SoundWave Festival 2010 in Melbourne.
