Nirvana Revamps Bleach

September 16, 2009

The very first album by Nirvana, Bleach, which sold only 40 000 copies upon its release, will be remastered for its 20th anniversary.

The disc arrived unnoticed on June 15, 1989, but had a second life with the release of the epic follow-up, Nevermind, reaching sales of 1.7 million copies in the United States alone.

The remastered version of Bleach will come as a double vinyl LP, just as when it was initially released in 1989. Also to be offered is a double CD version in special packaging.

In addition to a 48-page booklet featuring unpublished photos of the group, the Bleach reissue will be accompanied by a second CD, featuring unreleased live recordings of a concert at Portland, Oregon's Pine Street Theatre on February 9, 1990.

Fans must wait until November 3 before grabbing the reissue of Bleach.
