With very little experience in music, the band spent many months trying to hone their musical talent. In 2004, they landed a deal with Franz Ferdinand’s record label, Domino records. This contract paved the way for their first single I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor, which hit number one on the British charts. The band’s career had sky-rocketed.
Arctic Monkeys launched their debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not in 2006. The group’s follow-up album, Favourite Worst Nightmare, was another smash and sold thousands of copies. It produced the hits Brianstorm and Fluorescent Adolescent. The band continues building on this success.
