Finger Eleven is a Canadian band formed in 1994 in Burlington, Ontario. The group was founded by a group of friends…the Anderson brothers, Scott (singer) and Sean (bass player), James Black (guitarist), Rick Jackett (guitarist) and Rich Beddoe (drummer). When they started they used the name Rainbow Butt Monkeys. The group showed a lot of potential from the onset. They won a contest organized by a local radio station. This prize gave them the confidence to launch their first album.
In 1995, the album Letters from Chutney was released. The disc was noticed by the underground scene in Ontario, but was not a commercial success. The group was still largely unknown. While producing their second album, the band realized their name was not being taken seriously, so they changed it to Finger Eleven. In 1996, the group signed with Mercury Records. The following year, Finger Eleven released their second album Tip. This album marked the debut of their international career. The album was a hit in Canada and in the United States it was released under the label Wind-up Records in 1998. The singles Tip, Quicksand and Above were in the top 40 of American radio stations between 1998 and 1999.
After many concerts in North America, Finger Eleven made a comeback in 2000 with their third album The Greyest of Blue Skies. The album was certified gold in Canada, but did not have commercial success elsewhere. In 2003, the group released a self-titled album. This album was very successful. One Thing was the biggest single off this album reaching number one in Canada and 16th on the top 100 in the United States. The album sold 600 000 copies in North America. Finger Eleven increased the number of shows they were doing, and went on an international tour until 2005.
In the spring of 2007, Finger Eleven came back with their latest album entitled Them vs. You vs. Me. The singles Paralyser and Falling On were big hits, and the album was certified platinum in Canada and the United States. The group received two nominations at the Much Music Video Awards for their videos. Finger Eleven started a North American tour which will be finishing at the end of November 2007.

All right, classic rockers to this side of the room, the rest of you, subscribe to NME. The mag trashes Wolfmother - who, granted, sound like old-school Black Sabbath and Led Zep - as "Australian mock-rockers." Fans were worried that Wolfmother would self-destruct with the 2008 departure of bassist and keyboardist Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett.

(bum) - The show is indeed going on for Hedley! The popular group from British Columbia will soon embark on a new tour to promote their third album called The Show Must Go, on which there are some light and slightly personal songs. For the disc, the band gave themselves more freedom and pushed the boundaries. This is an interview with guitarist Dave Rosin.
