Q1: What is TELUS Play Pack?

TELUS Play Pack is a subscription-based service that gives you unlimited access to hundreds of full version PC games for a low monthly fee. Games for players of all ages are available for you to play as much, and as often, as you like. Take a look at the catalogue to see all available games.

Q2: How many games can I play with my TELUS Play Pack subscription?

You get access to all TELUS Play Pack games with your subscription.

Q3: What’s the difference between the Play Pack and the Arcade Pack?

Play Pack is our ultimate game package with games in all genres and has triple the number of game titles than the Arcade Pack. The Arcade Pack focuses on games in the casual, puzzle and arcade genres. These games are also included in the Play Pack.

Q4: Do I need the TELUS Games Player to play games in the Play Pack subscription?

Yes. You need to keep a version of the TELUS Games Player on your PC to access TELUS Play Pack subscription. If you uninstall the TELUS Games Player and want to continue playing games, simply download the TELUS Games Player again and login.

Q5: Will I be able to use this service if I have a Mac computer, or am running UNIX, Linux or DOS?

No. Currently the TELUS Games Player is available for Microsoft Windows 2000 or higher operating systems only.

Q6: How do I know a game will work on my PC?

The TELUS Games Player uses an automated System Checker to read each game’s minimum requirements and compares it to your computer system before it commences downloading the game. If your computer does not meet the minimum requirements, it will show you what failed, and either block access to the game, or allow you to choose to continue anyway.

Q7: Can I save a game? How do I do that?

Yes, assuming the title in question allows saving. You can save your game exactly as if you had the title installed. All user settings and save games are preserved between play sessions. You can access your saved games from the “My Games” button within the Games Player.

Q8: Can I play Play Pack games on another PC?

Yes. As long as you have an active Play Pack account, and the PC has the TELUS Games Player installed, you can login and play. Simply sign in with your user name and password on a computer that has Internet access via broadband and a TELUS Games Player installed.

Note: you will not be able to access your previously saved games when switching computers, and will need to download your games on this remote computer again.

Q9: What happens to my games if I reformat my computer or buy another PC?

You will need to download the TELUS Games Player again. Also your “My Games” will no longer contain any previously played games, and you will need to select “Play Now” button next to the games you want, to download them again.

Q10: I am having trouble with a TELUS Play Pack game. What do I do?

If a game you previously were playing does not appear in the catalogue, please check the Help home page for announcements regarding discontinued game titles.

Q11: Do you add more games to the Play Pack?

Yes. We add new games to Play Pack on a regular basis. We know that our audience requires popular new games, and we do our best to satisfy that need.

Q13: Are there any Internet usage limits I should be aware of?

TELUS has monthly limits for the amount of data a high speed customer can download or upload during their billing period. This is their usage, sometimes called throughput. We monitor usage to ensure network reliability for all customers, and will contact customers if they significantly exceed their plan limits. As a TELUS Play Pack subscriber you are entitled to an additional 1 GB usage per month. Get more information about Internet usage limits.
