The Sunday Sinners were born from the ashes of some of the finest groups of the Montreal rock and roll scene. Combining the sensibilities of gospel and classic soul with sixties psychedelia, the group has drawn comparisons to the Staple Singers, the Velvet Underground and the Pretty Things. The release of their Sweet Jam EP in 2006 has garnered the band much attention in Canada as well as in the United States. The Sunday Sinners have recently finished recording their debut album with engineer and producer Jace Lasek of the Besnard Lakes.
